multi-hyphen creative director & brand strategist with over 13 years of experience in luxury & fashion-tech. in my career, i have launched brands from concept through stage A, & entered others at various growth stages. this informs a 360 expertise in brand-building which spans across design, creative direction & strategy, branding, communications/press, and marketing, & an expert agility from concept through execution to position & scale brands of all sizes.
my distinctive career path is shaped by an intuitive lens on the future of a rapidly-changing industry (& how brands can create meaningful solutions in front of those changes), curiosity, & a fervent dedication to continuously innovate creative output & evolve cultural dialogues.
creative direction & branding:
my work in 360 brand building, creative direction, and communications has earned acclaim for an exceptional ability to forecast & capture cultural shifts to drive cultural conversations through creative and brand strategy; and for crafting seasonal creative concepts that merge conceptual vision with merchandised applications. this includes creative direction, brand heritage + asset development, art direction + visual output, seasonal apparel collection concept + design, and multi-media strategy, with a specialty in impact-driven brands.
the greatest feat to date has been raising $2.3M seed funding, which funding partners identified as largely due to the brand identity & communications strategy of the brand (which i single-handedly created in a team of 2 at that time).
marketing & communications:
my work in brand communications and marketing strategy has been featured across harper’s bazaar, vogue, forbes, and various other publications, and engaged various celebrity/influencer personalities. i’ve lead digital media brand activations from the ground up, through digital content creation, press, event, & influencer strategy.
i’ve been often credited for an exceptional capacity to distill complex brand initiatives into easy-to-digest, impactful brand dialogue & thought leadership, through which to create brand communications strategy for meaningful community engagement. this couples with an intuitive pulse on industry & culture, to observe market white spaces, and to drive meaningful brand partnerships and activations for both short and long term success.
impact:
i believe that the intention and impact behind our work is just as valuable as the visual and emotional impact of design. i’ve been a featured speaker on industry impact subjects including ‘the cultural dialogues of women through fashion’ and ‘labour communities, sustainability, & transparency in luxury’.
a long-time theme in my career has been in ethical labor and transparent supply chains. a more recent theme in my own (personal) work with de re is the cultural dialogue of femininity through the fashion industry, and rewriting the historical narratives provided through the male-dominated lens of the industry. this focus is inspired by my own experience as a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, exhausted by the narratives of singularity.
